Pajama's, Mobility and Christmas Time

It has been a little while since my last post. We have been through a couple rounds of colds, coughs and lots of drooling, which has made picture taking not so much fun. We are now full swing into Christmas at our house- our tree (which we unbox from the attic every year) is the "best tree EVER" according to Ashley- who had lots of fun decorating this year! Each new ornament and other Christmas decoration that came out of the containers was almost as good as Christmas morning with the excitement that Ashley had!
A big milestone was reached last week- Alyssa is officially crawling! She is a couple weeks behind when Ashley started crawling, but I am finding that is okay! Alyssa is much more explorative than Ashley and has already found the stereo buttons, the dog's water, the electrical outlets and furnace register! The Christmas tree is safe for the moment! I had allowed myself to forget this stage, but now the gates are back up and no one leaves Alyssa alone for any amount of time- good thing Ashley LOVES to "guide" Alyssa where to go- this usually involves picking her up and carrying her somewhere.

Alyssa is working her way through our front entry towards the bedroom hallway-it was the first time she had really ventured onto the hard floor and wasn't completely sure about it. She does show off all her crawling tricks- crawl, scoot backwards, go up on all four's and even trying to figure out how to stand... our life just got a whole lot more hectic!!! Don't mind Ashley running in front- she is always looking to get her 2 seconds of fame:):)
