Dress-up Fun and Learning to Sit

Last week was a pretty quiet week around the Hunderman house, but we did play a lot of dress-up. If we don't have anywhere to go in a day, Ashley very rarely puts on regular clothes- she is either one of the princesses or she wears the flower girl dress from my sister's wedding last summer! One morning last week Ashley found a picture I had taken earlier this summer and she wanted to imitate it and have me re-photograph her in the same clothes and same pose- then she got creative on the coffee table and provocative wanting to show off her mid-section- I guess she can get away with that for a couple more years:)
Alyssa is now to the stage where everything goes into her mouth and she grabs at anything that she might be close to- toys, food, papers, hair, jewelry... she is also getting pretty good at sitting on her own and being able to pick out her own toys from the basket, but watch out if she can't get at what she really wants because she has also learned how to let you know when she is mad or frustrated- she is just trying to keep up with the other loud mouth in the house!
Alyssa also has learned a great backwards scootch so I am going to try to videotape that this week- Friday evening she almost made it across the living room- backwards! Look for that later this week...
